Default Correct Felpro intake gasket # ?

I'm doing an intake swap soon, and I need to know the correct Felpro gasket to use. I have an '86 with cast iron heads. The heads have been ported, however. Do I need to now go from a 1205 to a 1206? Thanks.

You WISH ! Actually it depends on how large the ports were made. Only you can answer that. If you matched them to the stock gasket, than a stock gasket will be fine.

RACE ON!!!

The ports are larger than stock. Unfortunately I don't remember how much larger because it's been a couple of years since they were done. I used a stock gasket for the rebuild because I'm currently using the stock TPI. The SR that's going on has been ported to match the heads of the car it's coming from. So a stock gasket will no longer work. How much bigger do the gaskets get as you go from 1204 to 1205, and 1206? I'm just trying to assemble parts now so it will be a simple swap, with hopefully no trips to the parts store in the middle.

Check with a local machine shop. Our shop has a stack of them for all sizes they port the heads to. Match up your ports to one of them, the part# is on the gasket. Also some parts places have a sample pack that is used the same way to match up sizes.
