Oil pressure
What is the stock oil pressure on an L-98 warmed up at an idle. I know if its in the teens its not good, but mine was around thirty pounds today. I thought it used to be more but im just wonderin :crazy: Just rebuilt the engine this winter.

I know there's variation on this as the helms manual says 50-70 cold
and obviously lower when hot (cant remember). My 85 is in the low
50's when cold and at warm idle (500-550 rpm's) 12-15 ...
So I would say if you're at 30 psi warm idle, you're good.
Rule of thumb 10 psi for every one thousand rpm's..

:cheers: My 88 is high 60's low 70's cold...mid 60's at oil 195 deg and high 50's oil at 210 degrees

Once the engine gets to, say, 200F (oil) the pressure should read about 30 at idle.
If its really hot, it can get lower, but hopefully not below 20.
