FX3 Bilstein - Rebuild/Revalve HELP

FX3 Bilstein - Rebuild/Revalve HELP
I've called Bilstein in Ca, Exotic Muscle, Doug Rippie and they want $120+ per shock to rebuild/revalve them. I also contacted Wade Cross, said Bilstein advices them to replace the shafts at $130 each. HELP! Any suggestion on where to go? The FX-3 Bilstein's I have a 1993 LT-1 Convertible 6-Spd. The Bilsteins have 80K on them...Bought them used. The previous owner replaced the FX-3s some inexpensive aftermarket shocks and they need to be replaced. I'd like to use the car for agressive street driving, road trips, and some weekend autocross.

There is a difference between a rebuild and a revalve. Three years ago I had my FX3 shocks revalved for $55/ea. I believe the rebuild cost was $100/ea. Rebuilds require all new insides... If yours are leaking oil out of them then they need to be rebuilt, otherwise they just need to be revalved.

I just had an FX3 shock done by Bilstein. The gear was broken so they replaced it and rebuilt the shock. Cost me $100. The FX3 shocks can be revalved for specific use and Doug Rippie even has replacement controllers that take removable PROM's to adjust the FX3 setting even further.
From your post, it sound like the car originally had FX3 shocks. Did you get the actuators? Those puppys are expensive to replace and they are not rebuildable!!
