The best use is to change fan settings, and if you change the rear. I went slower at the track with the engine tune vs stock.

I was happy with my Hypertech but I had to sell it after I installed the Hot Cam. The cam required programming that the Hypertech couldn't do.

I programed my LT4 today. I only reset the fan settings. I didn't want to go to a 160 degree thermostat. When sitting in trafic today the temp went up to 214 but came right back down, before it would have gone up to about 228.

Try setting the fan temp to the lowest setting (selecting 160F thermostat even though you have a 180F)... My LT4 sits at 190F all day in traffic with this setting... The fans run continuously at slow speeds but it's not a big deal... The fans actually start running just before the thermostat even opens, keeping the radiator coolant cool during stop and go driving...
