Major spark plug question, please help

After I posted I went to NGK.COM (not ngks official site) and looked up my 88 L98 and they DO list the UR4IX for this car. BUT I have been running Rapidfire # 5. The ACs are 3/4 reach with gasket seat, the NGK are .460 reach with a tapered seat. What is the deal? If you go to http://WWW.NGK.COM you will see even they list both style reach/gasket for this engine. My car runs GREAT on ACs but I wanted to try the NGK. I am totally confused. Maybe one for iron head, one for aluminium?

Your aluminum head engine requires the use of plugs with a gasket (compressible washer type) and .750 reach.
Iron head engines use tapered seat plugs.
