84 header gaskets.....does anybody know a number?
I posted this at crossfire forum and no ones answering so I thought I'd try here. Thanks for any help You can give.
My post from crossfire forum: Does anybody know a part number for the exhaust manifold gaskets for the 84? I appear to have factory stainless headers and there were only gaskets on the 2 middle ports? The gaskets I find have ports that are way bigger.

I priced out the G.M. gaskets from my local dealer and they are $105CDN!!! :eek: :shocked:Can't afford that kind o cash at the moment.

You wanted part numbers, so... The aforementioned FelPro 1404s would be good also. A larger port size isn't a big problem as long as there is adequate sealing area on both the heads and manifolds. Good luck, and...

Go down to your local parts store and tell them you want a set of exhaust gaskets to fit a 73 Impala with a 350.
They will bring out one of two different types.
One type is one large gasket. You would need to remove the manifolds to install them. DON"T GET THOSE.
Tell them yours are the individual ones.
There will be THREE of them to a set. They can be installed WITh THE MANIFOLDS ON THE CAR.
Cost will be about $6-$7 bux US for BOTH sides. Total: $6 to $7
Put them on, smile, be happy.
Nuttin to it.
