Default How do I install hyperchip?

When I bought my vette I got a hyperchip with it but not installed. Where is the ECM and how do I go about installing it. Is there any programming procedures that need to be done when installed??
Thanx

Your ECM is located behind the right side I/P. Remove the hush pannel, remove two screws holding the ECM and work it down till you can see the Al cover plate.

Remove the two screws holding the cover plate, remove the cover plate and ground yourself (i.e. touch the Al ECM panel with your fingers).

Depress the two tabs on either side of the CalPac, remove the CalPac and insert the HyperTech unit firmly into the socket and close the retainer tabs.

Replace the cover plate, install the ECM into position behind the dash and replace the hush panel...job done.

There is no need to reset power to the ECM as it will quickly adjust fuel curve data as you drive normally for a few miles.

84-89 the ECM is located under the dash on the passenger side 90-96 is located under the hood above the battery (square black box) When you turn the box upsidedown there are two small bolts to remove on the cover the chip is inside. I removed my positive battery cable when I changed mine. Pull it straight up to remove and be careful when putting in the new one as to not bend any of the small prongs when reinstalling. GOOD LUCK :yesnod:
