Long tube header installation?
Hi Guys, I just got my engine back in my car yesterday after a rebuild and extensive mods. I am about to order long tube headers. What all must be removed on an 87 to get the headers in? Do they go in from the top or bottom? I still have a lot of assembly to do and I don't like doing work two or three times. What about the air pump plumbing? I know you guys have done this enough times and I'd like to benefit from your experience.
By the way, here's what I'm almost finished with it. I took a stock L98 with a 2.59 rear and went to a 3.07
I bored the block
balanced the entire bottom end
ported and polished the heads
siamesed the lower intake
Gasket mateched the heads and lower intake
ported runners and air box
added roller rockers
TPIS ZZ9 cam
roller timing set
BBK 58 mm throttle body,
23 lb Mustang SVO injectors
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
long tube headers
borlas
K&N filter
cut air lid
Big screen TV
Surround sound stereo.......
Dollars, dollars, dollars

Very nice. LT's aren't that tough to install. It's really just a bolt on operation with a few tricks. The thread in my sig may help although I have an LT-1.
