can i mess up my opti???????
I know a number of people here have done it but, I am so uncertian about the lack of quality in the high voltage side, that any kind of MSD system is a potential disaster.
If you are going to spend $$ on upgrading the ignition, think of replacing the high voltage completely.
http://www.bailey-eng.com (Bailey Engineering) makes the LTCC. Replaces the LT1 coil system with the 8 coils from an LS1. I have it. and it WORKS.
Del-Teq Engineering using Northstar coil packs in a lost spark system. I do not have a link for them.
Dynotech engineering is doing a completely reengineered OptiSpark they call DynoSpark - http://www.dynotech-eng.com
The downside to the DynoTech - it is a fine looking piece, and I am sure it is beautifully engineered, but it still has the same high voltage system that the factory unit has. Accel, MSD or Mallory have not come up with hi-po caps for them.
