Default 1988 Seat Removal Help??

This is probably a very basic procedure, but can someone provide some
insight on how to remove the seats?

I have the sport seats (both power) with lumbar etc... Driver side
moves in all directions except UP. Passenger does everything.
So, without buying a new track assembly, I want to do a temp
swap.......

I can lift up the cusion and see all of the hardware....is it a matter
of one harness and 4 bolts??? Are the seats identical for a swap??

Thanks

I have an 89 with the base seats and removed the passenger side when I changed the heater core. It was just 4 bolts. The front bolts have a cover I popped off with a screwdriver I believe. I expect the driver side was just 4 bolts and a harness. My seats were the same except for the power driver. In fact I swapped the cushions when I bought it 5 years ago to even out the wear.

I replaced both of my sport seats with some beautiful Corbeau Forza Red seats with adjustable brackets. Reomoval was easy, just unbolt the four bolts and disconnect the two harness plugs under the seat. A word of caution, put electical tape over the connectors when bare because I had one of mine arc against the seat bracket. Just my .02

:iagree:

I think the nuts are 10mm, you'll have to position the seat to get at all 4. Then dissconnect the connectors, carefully. They should swap with no probem. I repeat, "should".........

How do you like those Corbeau seats? How did they compare in cost to the replacement seat cover?

:iagree:
It is a matte of one connector & four bolts to get the seat off the track; four nuts to remove the track.

The seats will swap from side to side and so will the tracks. When you are ready to replace the track Contemporary Corvette (link on my site) has them.

I LOVE the Corbeau seats, they are ultra supportive and comfortable. They fit perfectly and look the ***** !!! They were cheaper than replacment seat covers (and the installation of them). They were 220 each and the adjustable seat brackets were 64 each. Totally makes the interior unique and custom.

Do you have pics you can post of your interior? Curious to see how they look....

Cheers
