Both Vic'89 and I run the TPIS cat-back and like the performance & sound but there is a fitment issue. We both had to have an exhaust shop cut, weld and fit the pipes to get the sustem to bolt up. Also, you will get best results by also doing a 2 1/2" front Y (or FL headers) and a hi-flow cat along with a good cat-back.
Also, do the cut lid with K&N to help overall air flow. It's air flow through the motor that builds power.
Though I like the performance of the TPIS system I'm thinking of a Force II system (with 3" into 2 1/2" pipes) for my next sytem, when needed.
I bought a Borla Cat Back for 93 and it has a nice deep mellow sound. Driving with the top down at highway speeds its nice as well. That was my biggest concern with a convertible.
