Was thinking about changing the shocks. A friend said the Bilstein Z52 shocks with the stock springs works real well. But I like the idea of adjustable shocks I can change from cruising to road racing. I like the idea of the electronic ones I don't have but that's too costly to add, but what about the Koni Adjustable ones. I found them for $528 shipped so far.

Re: Adjustable Shocks (jstkrsn)
Jim,
I had just put the new KONI Sports (adjustable) on my C4 before Saturday's SCMR13. You and I talked briefly about them at lunch, but I didn't fully appreciate them until the after-lunch drive was over.
I love 'em.
If you decide to get them, IM me and I'll tell you where I ended up with the settings...maybe I can save you pulling the rears off for adjustments.
By the way, you didn't seem to have any problem keeping up with me with your old shocks!!
It was good meeting you Saturday. Changing the shocks isn't really on my list of things to do immediately. I think about it every time I go on one of the mountain cruises. But I like the idea of being able to adjust them to the type of driving I would be doing at the time. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again at a future function and we can discuss it more.
I have had QA1 on two Vettes now. Great shock. Koni's are also great, but do require removal of shock or modifing the frame some in order to adjust them. Think they are probably about equal. If your looking for that last little bit Koni's might work better for you simply because more guys at the national level run them so will know what settings to use, and if you want custom valving I think more places will be farmiliar with Koni's then the QA1s.
Also I believe its only 12 settings, not 14. At least mine were not 14.
If you happen to get them, I find 4 all around is a nice setup for street driving.
I ran 8 in front, 5 in rear last autocross. I find being a little soft in the rear works out nicely for controlling oversteer.

Awesome! This is the information I needed since I have not heard a tremendous amount of information about the QA1s, and was a little leary of buying shocks that I have not heard too much about.
Sorry, I meant 12 settings. These shocks seem to be the best of all worlds. You can have a nice cooshy ride then change them, quite easily, for auto crossing or even drag racing. I will probably go with these before end of year.
