Could be a temperature thing. Is it cold? Last winter I had a similar thing. I was turning the garage heat on and off at random. Over a period of a few days I could not get consistant Fp #s. One cold night I went out and turned on the heat. Gage was laying there on 0. As it warmed up the pressure slowly climbed. Turns out a few degrees made a big difference. Hope this helps. :chevy

Check valve is part of the fuel pump. There is also a fuel dampener that is in the tank between the pump and fuel line. It could be leaking. You can replace it with a piece of hose.
