Help. My LT1 is running like crap
My 95 is misfiring, at least I think it is.
If I rev it up in neutral at about 5k RPM it will pop. If I stab the gas at idle it will either stumble or want to die, it has not yet stalled. If under load it will pop and sputter up around 5k rpm also.
I do not get any service lights coming on during this whole process.
I am running OEM Delco plugs, MSD spark plug wires, and stock coil wire and rest of ignition. I am running the stock coil wire since the MSD wire does not seem to be long enough, nor has the correct boot on it.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure that many would blame the opti-spark, but without being there it is hard to say. How many miles on the car? Ever had a water pump go out? It could be just about anything. Plugged cat? bad coil wire, clogged fuel filter, or pump on the fritz. Have you done any preliminary checks? If so, what have you done and what did you find?

It has about 100k miles on her. The opti and water pump were replaced in Dec. and have less thank 3k miles on them. I removed the coil were and verified that it was connected.
The plugs were changed at about the same time.
That is about all the checks that I have done so far.

Had the same exact problem, it was the coil wire rubbing against something that caused it. Sometimes the car wouldn't even start.
