Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (billwineberg)
I don't get it... I ordered this on-line and paid via paypal. I sent a couple of emails on Saturday and they were answered within the hour.. on Saturday mind you. Showed up within a couple of days...
Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (luvmy92)
Please let me explain a few things here....
Racetronix is a manufacture & distributor NOT a retail outlet.
We do not have retail phone sales people or the capability to take CC's over the phone. This is what our distributors / retailers are for. This is no different from any other company such as MSD etc. The fact the we chose to engage in limited retail sales via the net is a bonus.
We do not have any problems with our email here as we have our own dedicated server so we can see what is hitting our front door. We do however have problems corresponding with people who use AOL, Hotmail Yahoo and many other types of overburdened and / or free email services.
We have NOTHING to hide here.
We do not use forum messaging or email to correspond with our customers for MANY good / obvious reasons which we will NOT get into here.
The fact that you are looking to buy the C4 system the same week it is undergoing upgrades / changes is a bonus to you from a pricing perspective. Order our system online now before Monday May 17/04 and you will receive ALL the components in our new kit at the old price.
Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (vsocks)
The current system is a good deal as it stands so anything provided above and beyond at the same price is a bonus. Anyone who orders will be more than happy with their system.
We are not in a position to have a mass influx of orders while we are bundling the new systems.
There will be a promotional price on the new systems once they are OFFICIALLY released.
Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (Racetronix)
my friend got the kit for me from Racetronix, nice looking product, but
NO INSTRUCTIONS!
I hope the online pics will help, but their help is limited...
Anyone got an tips on how to run the wires etc.
or tips or tricks for the pump install?
Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (billwineberg)
I just did the install. The picture they show to mount the relay is from behind the car with the spare tire carrier dropped on the drivers side. Follow the brake lines to the engine compartment and use the wire ties to tie the harness to the brake lines along the way.
The extra ground from the battery goes to the frame bolt on a brace below the master cylinder.
I hope your kit comes with all the necessary parts. Mine didn't and Racetronix didn't respond to my email. They didn't supply the fuel hose and clamps needed to connect the fuel tube to the new pump. This replaced the stock damperner. They also included extra connectors but I don't know what they are for. I didn't need them as everything just plugged right in.
On the postive side, the kit works well and I am no longer dropping fuel pressure at WOT
Re: BEST Performance FUEL PUMP for '89 L98 ??? (Bluevette85)
The system is undergoing changes at this time.
There is no instruction manual available as this kit was intended for dealer installation / experienced technicians.
Once we have finalized & released the new system it will include an instruction sheet.
If you have some automotive experience the installation is fairly easy.
The pictures on the web page provide a good reference for harness component mounting locations.
If you have a tech support issue email support@racetronix.com. You should get an auto-responder message if it hit our server.
If you do not get a reply after one BUSINESS day please send the message again.
We tend to get buried with emails from many people with non-Racetronix related questions.
