Default Incentive for the turbo projects.

Here is a cool video of a turbo charged car doing a little burnout. Just trying to keep everyone motivated with their projects. http://www.ls1speed.com/movies/jim.wmv
I also haven't heard from Baldturbofreak in quite awhile. Anyone know how his project is coming?

Antivenom.. Hate to do this to ya man... But.. the fella i was getting the new housing from was takin some time to get it due to availability in the size i wanted.. so he to come through for me he agreed to upgrade me... I now will have a 1.05 A/R housing.... attached to a GT45 turbo.. sorry man, but i had to jumop on the chance to upgrade at this price.... this turbo is supposed to be good for up to 1000+ HP... and the price on it is not that bad, he sells them outright for $799.00 so i guess, we will see how it works out. in the interim i am working out my fuel system as well... i think i am gonna go with 83 lb injectors and the impedance converter box, just hoping beyond hope to find some used injectors to help alleviate the cost of purchasing both the box and the low Z injectors.. outright its looking like about $875 for injectors and the box.. we'll see! let me know what ya think!

college has been kicking the freaks butt for the passt 4 mos, but in a week that is all over for the summer. I just dropped mad coin (well for a student anyway) on the majority of my components. All i need now is to finish a customer's car (81 I built a 383 w tpi for it) and mine comes back into the shop to have it's soul reinstalled. Coming soon brothers, the clouds are gathering.

Chris,

Keep looking for deals out there. I picked up my 72# injectors for $300 with a few hundred miles on them. The Camaroz28.com board has some good deals if you keep your eye's open.

doing that right now.. trying to find some 83lb's if they come about for a deal.. would love to grab soem for about 300-350.. would make the acceleronics box less of a hit to the ole budget.. but i figure i may as well build the fuel system for more then i will ever need because as everyone knows more then you'll ever need soon becomes much less then you really want....lol oh well, well the turbo i will have soon should be plenty for the time being... and it should run very very efficient!

keep us up to speed on any progress!

Chris, you suck. You're gonna leave me out dry all by myself. Really I'm just playin wich ya. I would do the same thing if given the opportunity to upgrade. I did like the thought of going through this with someone that has the same turbo, but no, you had to go and outdo me. lol I have lost alittle momentum, but I haven't forgotten about my project. Money, money, money, everything is seemingly overpriced and I am trying to start a new business, and the two don't really mix. I will get that damm car running though. Good luck to all with their projects!!!!

Anti,

My fault man..lol i felt the same way on it havin a partner in crime going into the build, but look at the bright side, one of us should have the right turbo for the job..lol and after what i have been reading, the GT45 may be a bit big (God forbid BTF see me sayin that...lol its still a shrimpy compared to his gargantuan bohemoth monster).. i was looking for a fast street car setup, and this is gonna turn into a 50mph roll on car i have a feeling with this turbo. stop light racin is gonna be tuff..lol

well, I decided on some more of the components im gonna use and went ahead and bought them, i got one of the HKS/Greddy style 50mm wastegates off ebay, won the bid at $255, and they are always on there for about the same price.. or can be had outright with free shipping for 260 from the auction holders website. went with one of the Tial 50mm wastegates for $225 off ebay as well, now just gotta quit buyin stuff and get my lazy **** in the garage and start fabbin some chit up...lol no not lazy at all actually, just been completely busy with everyone elses cars that mine had to take a back seat.. but now its on.. should go pretty quick until i get to the intercooler.. that i am still completely clueless about.. need one big enough to work properly and still fit without removing any of my accessories or altering any of the body/frame to much.. guess when i role the car in and start poking around in there i will begin to visualize and formulate a plan of attack. anyone hve a acceleronics box for sale? lol

keep us posted..

FAB ON!

Chris
