I need a corvette governor...
...after dealing with the B&M governor kit with new springs and wheights...
...I lost my head
Now I want a stock corvette governor.
I'm in Italy so I can't buy from GMpartdirect... (they do not sells overseas).
Is there someone with a new or used stock corvette governor to send me?
I see that putting it in a little box via standard Airmail the rate is about $7 or $8 and it arrive in 8 or 9 days.
Someone can buy it for me and then ship it to me standard Airmail?
I will pay in advance.
or.. can someone link me to a web place where I can buy a stock corvette governor???
Thanks, If I remember there is a CF member (if I correct remember his name is Jeff) that is a Chevrolet dealer...
Someone has the email address??

Thank you Jake, I received your message.
I tried another weight combination on my governor. It seems good. It shifts at WOT at 4700 rpm from first to second and at 5100 from 2 to 3.
It’s is right for me. With this last modification to governor’s weights I have raised shift points also at part throttle and seems I lost overdrive… I tried up to 115 Km/h ( about 70 mph) with minimal trotthle and the Overdrive won’t come on…
I lost overdrive?
Someone with similar symptoms? (lost overdrive)
Thanks

Make sure the wiring harness that is right next to the govenor cover is plugged in tightly. You may have knocked it loose...

Are you referring to the wiring harness of the speed sensor?I can check it, but in any case I do not think it has something to play with the lost overdrive problem I'm having...
You may not have "lost" OD but rather just moved it too far up the MPH or RPM scale. With those gears, what was your RPM at 70mph; I think only 3,900rpm?
Try adjusting the TV cable to lower all part throttle shift points. If you have to move the cable head toward the firewall it likely won't hold after you go to WOT but you can use light throttle only to see if the part throttle OD shift has returned.
To bring WOT shift points closer together install stiffer springs into the governor, of course then you will need to lighten the weights.
BTW, what intake mods do you have with that setup?

Waiting for a 3 to 4 at part throttle the rpm at 70 mph are 2600 (Ihave a 2.73).

What means "closer togheter"?? is a way to have the 1-2 WOT similar to the 2-3 WOT??
I maintained the stock springs (one very stiff red tinted) and the other was gray/natural and very light) I cahnged only the weights.
Stock weights were identical (the left identical to the right). Now I have two different weights because B&M supplies 6 new weights but all differents each others. I used n. 5 and n. 4. The 4 is slightly light than the stock and the 5 a bit lighter than the 4.
I will try to deal with TV cable..
