Default Radiator question - What is this plug for???

The stock radiator does not have this clip-in cap on this plug. What is it for and should I uncap it or leave it as is?

Edit - it's the lowest plug in the pic, not the green one and not the rad cap.

Nice looking radiator you have there. The 2051 Modine fits 1984- 1989 C4s. My guess is that is for a low coolant sensor. I still have the factory installed radiator, or I'd look to see.

RACE ON!!!

I kinda thought that, but on my stock, Harrison radiator, the same outlet is there, but without the cap in it. It was uncapped when I pulled it off. I wonder why it doesn't leak. The cap is just a hard plastic that clips in loosely, so I don't think it has any direct contact with the coolant... hmmm...

Oh well, I gotta get it running before it starts raining again. I'll leave it capped.

Thanks guys!

Jim - Yes, it IS a very nice radiator. Thanks bro!

That is the plug for the low coolant sensor for 86's and later. I know my 84 doesn't have one... I believe 85 doesn't either. My GM replacement radiator has one also. They basically make the radiator to fit several models, and you just keep that plugged for the 84 and 85 years.
