Since I have to put it a new radiatior, I figure this will be a good time to rip out the A/C. It doesn't work well, I never use it, plus it robs power when it's being used.
Is there anything I need to be aware of, or can I just start ripping it out?
Is there an eliminator bracket of some sort available?
I'll probably just start with removing the condenser, and work backwards from there.
I suggest "bleeding off the pressure" from one of the schraedeer valves first with a hose to a bottle to collect the oily residue. Once all pressure is relieved, remove at will. Some sue a shorter belt. I use a Guy Ankeny Racing "A/C eliminator bracket with pulley" and retian the roiginal belt angularity on the tensioner and under the water pump. Good luck, Paul :flag

How much was the eliminator bracket/pulley? I've also heard a Chevy S10 A/C eliminator bracket bolts right in.
Also am I going to lose any defroster fuction after removing the A/C?
