I talked to my engine builder about my rebuild. I whas thinking of using TRW fordge pistons, but my engine builde said they are to heave and recomend me the SRP flat top pistons, thay should be mych better??
Ofcourse they are much more money
I've used them in several engines and never had a problem. This is the first time I've heard someone say they were "too heavy". My 400 Pontiac spun to 6500 RPM on a regular basis and they didn't go flying out of the block or anything. :)

Re: TRW pistons to heavy? (devilfish)
I used them in a 406 with no problems. They are a heavier piston than the JE or SRPs, which will cost you more. As long as the rotating assembly is designed to work together it should be OK.
There are a ton of people using the TRW/Speedpro forged pistons out there.
Good point about the rotating assembly designed to work together .
Could there be some issues with a SCAT 9000 crank, SCAT ibeam rods and those TRW pistons?
