This past Saturday, I started up the car, and upon releasing the parking brake, the Brake Warning Light stayed on. The brake released and I drove the car as I normally would. The car did not do anything out of the ordinary, I did not smell brake, etc. I have no Master cylinder problems, etc.
I set and released the parking brake a couple times when I got home and it works fine, just the brake light in the instrument panel stays on.
Is there a ground or something electrical in the Parking brake system itself that can go bad which results in the brake light staying on, instead of going off when the brake is released ?
