The link http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/4310/vetfacts.htm which I saved some time ago for reference purposes, contains the following sentence when describing changes between the 1995 and 1996 model years:
"LT1 engines were mated only to automatic transmissions which had improved friction materials for the intermediate clutch and front/rear bands, improved shift quality and more durable torque converters."
Does anyone know exactly what it was about the 1996 OEM TCs that made them more durable that the 95s. Also, is this one of those items that the Corvette Black Book might have more information on? TIA...
