Blinker Problem...
Ok, went to drive home from work today and noticed my blinkers weren't blinking. The light in the cluster just stayed lit.
So, I turned them on and checked all the lights. All lights are functioning properly, the blinkers just aren't blinking....
OK, so my questions is: What's causing this? The blinker module? Where is it? and How much to fix?
Car: 1988 Coupe
Thanks!!
EDIT:
Before anyone else does this....The blinker fluid is good, checked that first!! :yesnod:
EDIT (part 2):
When I turn on the blinkers, no sound, like the normal blinker sound. Just lights up and no sound.

One element in one of your dual element bulbs is nuked. You're gunna have to track down which bulb it is and replace it.

Checked all the bulbs already and replaced the front two and the side two. Any other ideas?

mine was like that when I bought the car the other guy said he would click it on and off. I changed the outside rear drivers side bulb and it worked fine after that. (had to have my girl friend reach up there because my arms wouldnt fit.)

Re: Blinker Problem... (MY84REDC4)
I just went out and checked my lights again, right rear bulb is out, not the tailight but the side light. I'll have to see if that lights up when I turn the blinker on. Hmm, interesting situation we have here.
Looks like a trip to Advance. I'll keep ya posted.
EDIT:
Just checked them, they're not supposed to blink, but the bulb is burned out.
What is the name of the relay that controls the blinkers? I'm gonna make a trip to the parts store so I might as well pick that up while I'm there.

It would be behind the breadbox. The dashpad is the thing that covers the dash from the top

Re: Blinker Problem... (Wheelman)
I have a similar issue but a bit different. If the headlights are off all blinkers work fine. If I turn on the parking lights the passenger side front signal doesn't work. I know it is one faulty bulb that is causing it, I just can't find it yet.

Re: Blinker Problem... (Duf)
A burnt out bulb will "deactivate" your turn signals. Best to replace that bulb before tearing into the rest of it.

Yea I did replace it. Actually I replaced almost all of the front bulbs. I DO have a burned out foglight but I don't think that would affect the turn signals.
