Default I give up!

Last weekend I clipped something in the roadway, and broke the exhaust clamp right after the cat on the passenger side. No biggie I figured, a new stainless steel clamp, and I'd be ok. Well one broken clamp later, and a new on now, I still have a leak at the junction of the two pipes. :mad If anyone has any tips, I'd surely appreciate them. It would be nice if there were some sort of technologically advanced gunk that I could spread along the seam in addition to the clamp.

Can stainless be welded. That's probably the longest term solution. Short of replacement :( .

Just take it to an independent muffler shop. Look for a guy who looks like he's been there for twenty years. He'll fix you up easy.

Yes it can, but I was hoping to avoid welding. The pipe I am referring to is not part of my aftermarket system, it is part of the car. All other seams can be welded, but I wanted to avoid this one. In an updated post I posted that I got the leak fixed, and broke my rear gears on the test ride. Thanks for responding! :seeya
