New Mods in the Mail!!

I just ordered parts for my baby and they should be at my door in a few weeks. Theres a dyno day comming up in a month and I'm hoping to bring my 92' lt1 with mods in time for the dyno. My goal is 300 rwhp, but we'll see.

Ordered mods:
Comp Cams Camshaft of Your Choice (haven't specified yet but I want a mild cam so i can maintain gas mileage)
Comp Cams Self Aligning 1.6 Pro Magnum Rocker Arms
Comp Cams 987-16 Dual Valve Springs
Comp Cams 740-16 Valve Spring Retainers
Comp Cams 10 Degree Super Locks
Comp Cams Valve Spring Seats
Comp Cams Hardened Pushrods
New GM Timing Chain
Fel-Pro Intake Gasket Set
Fel-Pro Timing Cover Set
Optispark Distributor
New Plugs
New Wires
Cold Air Intake (triple cone)
New Valve Covers

Only current mod:
52mm TB

So what do you think guys? Is 300 rwhp a realistic number to look at?

nice list, i'm confused as to why you ordered hardened pushrods with self-aligning rockers.

with what i see in that list, you would do as well, or better - and at the same time saving a good chunk of change - by getting an LT4 HOT cam kit.

All of this going on stock heads? Is the car a 6-spd or an auto?

With mine the LT4 Hot Cam and 1.6 rockers and electric water pump got me to 313 rwhp. If you go with a cam that isn't too wild it should be able to make it if it's a 6-spd. If you're in an auto you may or may not make it.

Everything is going on stock lt1 heads, and its a six speed. So you think i wasted a few bux eh? :banghead: Oh well..

oh no, you didn't waste money. i didn't mean to sound negative. the comp cams stuff is very good, and actually will be better than the HOT cam kit components. i'm guessing you weren't trying to save every penny. if budget was king, the HOT cam kit would be a very good choice.

the only thing you won't need are the (inexpensive) hardened guideplates, since you opted for self-aligning rockers. 300 rwhp is very probable with your choices, particularly if you get the right cam :yesnod: you'll be alright! :cheers:
