hello
i bought my 92 lt1 6 speed coupe used and it now has 90k on the clock
today, even with the clutch pedal fully depressed to the floor with the engine running it doesnt come out of whatever gear it is in whether the car is moving or not and when you start the car in gear with the clutch fully depressed the car moves a little -i was first thinking of checking the clutch reservoir but i dont know where its located if thats at the correct level what next
thanx
Reservoir is located under the ECM on the drivers side of car. That flat boxing looking thing. Use a flashlight to shine at side of reservoir to see if you have fluid in there. If no, you have to take of ECM( easy) to gain access to it to add fluid. If yes, look for signs of fluid leaking around clutch master inside car( by reaching up with on hand or use flashlight) or outside on the firewall. If that is OK, jack up car and secure with proper jack stand. Look on passenger side of tranny for the slave and see if there is fluid leaking at the boot. If either is leaking replace. I did both at same time since it is a small pain to do and didn't want to do it twice.
Sounds like you have some sort of trans problem, even if the clutch system was completely shot - you would be able to shift out of gear. Usually clutch release problems result in not being about to get into gear.
