Adjusting Throttle Valve Cable 90 L98
I have recently installed an aftermarket TB. I have attempted to adjust the TV cable as the transmission continues to upshift around 3500 rpm. I read the GM Manual and thought I followed their instructions but it did not change anything.
Here is what I did:
1) Depressed the rachet to release the TV cable.
2) Moved the slider towards the fire wall until the pointed rubber cap was flush with the bracket.
3) Depressed the accelerator pedal to the floor to set it.
4) Drove the car.
1) Did the same as above but I pushed the slider towards the fire wall untill the pointed rubber cap was half way into the bracket.
2) Depressed the accelerator pedal to the floor.
3) Drove the car.
Appearently I am doing something incorrectly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you say that you are doing something incorrectly; what symptom are you getting?
When you depress the accelerator fully the linkage should pull the head away from the firewall to the correct position. That's all there is to it.
