I'm looking for the description for a CCM code of H51, H53 & H74. This is a CCM code not an ECM code! A-G ground on the data link connector. Also, if anyone knows which vats key resistor the 06203 code is for. I have a 9530 ohm resistor in my key now and my security light is staying on and the resistance is good at the two white wires - so I know my ignition isn't the problem. The dealer made this key and said it was the right one. Its a 93 lt1.
Thanks in advance.
Re: CCM Codes - Anyone with a Helms manual? (hris)
H51- VATS (Pass Key) invalid key detection.
H53- VATS (Pass Key) Key Detection circuit open or shorted to B+.
H74- LED Display Dimming Output Circuit open or shorted to ground.
Maybe these descriptions will help. They are from the GM Service Manual for my 90 coupe.
Re: CCM Codes - Anyone with a Helms manual? (ralexand)
anybody have a manual that tells what key resistor i need
the diag says it is 06203, 203 being one of the fifteen, I just need the chart that shows it
the dealer gave me a 14, but it didn't work and i can't find all the resistors at the local radio shack

all help is very appreciated :flag
Re: CCM Codes - Anyone with a Helms manual? (93lt1chris)
Chris, the number you show (06203) falls within the accetable range for a 12. The range is from 5798-6302 ohms. You can find a combination of resistors to come up with something very close to the middle of that range. I used a small project box from Radio Shack along with a GM pigtail, so I can return it to stock without any problem. The problem I found on mine ws the contacts in the ignition cylinder wearout over time. :steering:
