L98 headswap guys!
I dont know how I match up against other 90-91's but I spanked an 04 Vette my last run and a Saleen my second to last run. It has to be sometimg pretty major to take away that much power. Dont give up.... :steering: :grouphug: :steering:
-FL headers, x-pipe & duals
-160deg T-stat & fan switch
-ram air
-underdrive pulley
-cut back spark plug ground electrodes
-toss the frisbee from the front of your water pump pulley
-upgrade the valve train: 1.6:1 ProMagnums for 7/16" studs, Ti retainers & 10deg locks (toss the tin oil shedders), new springs, 7/16" studs, hardened guide plates & push rods
-siamese the intake base and raise shift points into the mid 5k RPM range
-install an AFPR to bump fuel pressure (foreget about a new chip)
When you go to the strip lose the spare & jack and don't arrive with more than 1/3 tank of fuel.
If these don't get you into the 12s at Bradenton, install a 2,000rpm TC and think about 3.07 or 3.45 gears along with a D44 and some DRs.
Then if you port your stock heads and install a ZZ-9 cam you should see low 12s.
