Door ajar bell?
Got in my car yesterday and put the key in, the bell(which I haven't heard in a couple of years) started dinging like it was a cat being tortured. What controls this bell, is it the CCM? I've had a vats problem also that I eliminated the key/cylinder and the ECM from being the problems. I'm wondering if my CCM has gone bad as well.

The door chime is going bad. I changed mine on my 94 that I used to own. Mine was making the same noise, sounded like a hurt animal. It is located behind the a/c controls if I remember correctly. I do remember this though, it is a major PITA to get to and change. I think its easier to change plug wires on the LT1 than replace the door chime. :eek:

So the chime is a seperate piece of it's own? I have pulled the radio and a/c controller before but didn't notice anything other than the CCM and a lot of braces back there. Where exactly is it located, anybody?
