I first loosened the three outer bolts with the serpentine in place and just put enough pressure on it till I got these bolts broken loose.
When the center bolt would not budge with this method, I removed the serpentine and the three outer bolts and replaced them with long bolts from my blancer puller kit. Then I used the long bolts to get enough leverage with a pry bar to hold the balancer while I loosened the center bolt. I've also used this "trick" to rotate the crankshaft in reverse (which would loosen the center bolt).
