Ported Heads Intake for LT4
What do you guys think ported heads/intake and cam swap would cost? Parts/Labor? Just want to make sure I get a fair deal when I go in next week. Thanks. We got some really smart car geeks on here.

LT-4 BUD just did something very similar and from the sounds of things, made some big power. No clue what it set him back though. Maybe he'll see the post.

I paid around $2500 for my heads/cam upgrade, but I turned the wrenches myself.
A shop will probably charge around $4,000-$5000 for a turn key heads/cam upgrade.

AFR 195 CNCed LT4 heads $1795. LT4 Hot-Cam $135 (Just the cam, you already have the R/R's)
It can be done for less then $2000 for parts. As for labor it is going to be based on there rate per hour but just a stab in the dark i would suspect $1000-$1500 range
The reason I like the AFR option is they flow beter then most of the flow #s I have seen for ported stock heads and are around the same price. If you wan'ted to you can always sell the stock heads and get a few $$$$ back
