Summer Mod Project...Gotta Love Ebay!
Just won a couple of auctions yesterday. Long tube headers and 52mm throttlebody. Ordered up 1.6 rockers and AFPR from Summit.
I'm certain the cam was replaced before I got the car, no mistaking that lopey idle. And the heads are iron center bolt '87.
I'll put the dial indicator on the cam when I change the rocker arms to try and find out just exactly what's in there. Another clue is a chrome timing chain cover on the engine.
So I'm thinking I can take good advantage of what's in there with some bolt on breathing mods. The headers are 1 5/8 primaries. They're probably a cheap knock off and no doubt will present some fitment challenges but I can't wait to tackle them. There is no emission testing here so true duals will be the order. The throttlebody will just top things off. I'll wait to see if I want to change the intake afterward.
Cut lid, K&N, de-screened MAF, 52mm TB, plenum & runner porting, heads, cam, gutted air pump, headers, dual exahust (no cats) w/40 series Flows. She's getting there.
Guess I better go figure out what read-end gear ratio I have (70 mph @ 2000 in O/D). :seeya

I didn't say that the heads were from an '87 vette. Just that they're '87 iron. Sometime ago I posted an inquiry about these heads...
