Problem just started on my 91 coupe. Car has the electronic climate control and if any button other than"off" is pushed the primary fan starts and won't stop unless I stop the car and resart with the system off. This will happen when the car is cold also,so I'm thinking I've got a short somewhere???? This will only happen when the car is running,if the key is turned on I can then push any button and no fan comes on,but once I start it up on comes the fan!!! any thoughts
Thanks for the quick reply...all the functions work, the a/c hasn't worked for awhile ,but the heat does(need this more than ac in Wash.) Where is the control head? Thanks...
Just for poopies and giggles, since your AC is not working try unplugging the high pressure switch plug on the high side ac line under hood..if its stuck grounding it could be telling fan relay to kick on..I'm not sure if it would only do it when you turn on ac controller or not but it may be worth trying.
Skatepark-I'm going to try that when I get home tonite...After doing some reading and making some calls that suggestion keeps coming up. By the way, thanks for your help with my aux.fan switch installation(works great!!)
Ok good!! I'm glad my help with your manual fan switch works ..keep us posted on what you find on this deal..we're all just helping each other learn these animals
