The underhood lights on my '94 suddenly quit working. Bulbs seem OK. There's no voltage at the lights. What might be the problem....where should I look?. I didn't notice a fuse for them, but may have overlooked it. By the way, my first post on t/p.
Trace the wires from the lights and make sure the connections are good.
If so, open a connector to see if there is power to the connector.
If so, check/service the mercury switches in the lights.
There is a fuse holder for the lights in the left front well just below the headlight. It's in a 'weather pack' case and mounted to the inner fender well just on the outboard side of the AIR pump. Check that first. Hope this helps.
this may sound silly...but my 85 hood lights act up sometimes....give the lenses a good solid tap with your fingers...those mercury switched can be a lil flaky...unplug the wires where ever they connect, then plug them back in...wiggle it...you may get away without having to spend any money
My lights actually ended up having the wrong bulbs which made them work "sometimes". I changed them out with the correct ones and now they are good to go!
Ittlfly....good call....the fuse holder is out of the little pack and the fuse is missing. When I close the circuit I have lights. Do you happen to know what size fuse I need? (now that I think about it, I had some service done about a week ago....I'll bet they took the fuse out to keep the lights off and didn't put it back.)

It's a red colored one..I think it ia a 5 amp. Glad you got it working.
ive had my underhood lights go out a couple times. once it was the fuse and the next time i thoguht it was the fuse again but it was fine. come to find out both bulbs just happened to blow at the same time!
Probably a silly question, but doesn't the fuse for the underhood lights control something to do with the air pump? I thought I had read that somewhere. I only ask because mine are out as well..

No. The AIR pump has a fuse in a separate 'weatherpack' holder mounted on the pump itself. (at least on the 92 its wired that way).
