Battery/Radio Question

Battery/Radio Question
Ok, I am a girl with a Corvette, so I worry about the minor things. My radio does not work. A couple weeks ago it was working fine, although I was having battery problems. Replaced the battery, now the radio does not work. The fuses look fine. Someone told me that its a theft control issue? When I disconnected the battery, the radio thinks it was stolen and now it won't work? If I take it to the dealership they can enter a code to fix it is what I was told? Any truth in this, or any ideas??? Please help. Drove 300 miles yesterday with no stereo

She couldn't do that herself? It seems like something that should be made easily doable for the car owner since its not really a big deal.

There are steps to do it in owners manual but the catch is, she has to know her security code and I'm assuming she doesn't have it and the previous owner set the code. Because if no one had armed it it wouldn't go to "LOC" after unhooking battery. In this case she can either contact previous owner ang get code and then I can tell her wow to do it or just run by a chevy dealer and they probably wont even charge her and it will only take a minute.
