anyone tried ,, heard of 40 below , coolant additive? 30oz $24.99 in mad

Check your local autoparts store. I think autozone carries it. That way you'll save on shipping charges. This stuff does work a little, but if you have a real problem with overheating it's not the cure. It's basicly a water softener.

ahhh i use redline water wetter now , its not bad! my radiator inside and out are all clean thanks for that suggestion though , i was wondering if this was better than what i was already using,

I used 40 Below in my 85. The radiator was like new on the inside when i added the 40 Below.About 4 or 5 months after adding the 40 Below my radiator cap was not sealing (you could hear the hiss) and when I opened it I couldn't believe what I saw. There was brown sludge almost blocking off the filler neck. It took MANY flushes to get that system almost back to new.
I have owned many types of cars and Corvettes (which are more than a car to me) and never had any problems like this with any of those cooling systems. The only reason I can see for this happening is the 40 Below. After cleaning the system and NOT using 40 Below the system stayed clean for many years more.

It's crap, stay away from it... I had to replace a radiator in my old Camaro because that stuff sludged the whole thing up...
