Wiper Clashes
I purchased my first Corvette, a 96 Coupe, about six months ago. Why did I wait sooo long?
However, the wiper clashes are a real problem Seems a lot of people know about it but I can't find any information to get it solved other than removing the right side wiper. I have purchased and installed all of the correct GM blades and arms to no avail. Surely GM didn't ship the car with this problem? Can someone please give me some clues here.
Thanks,
Jim

in addition i adjusted my blades' positions so they stay far apart from each other when they come back to the hood. there are adjusting nuts under the plastic grille at the base of the windshield. there should be a section that you can snap off that reveals the adjustment nuts.
the rest - i just keep my windshield and blades clean as humanly possible.
hope this helps somewhat.
, Im over here in Lufkin..Small world huh?? I own the skatepark over here and also own a 90 C-4.At the base of your wiper blades where the metal part mounts to motor gear there's retainer clips, it's a small square flap of metal. You can adjust wipers by using a flathead screwdriver and prying clip out. Then you lift wiper off of gear and raise it a tad and put it back on and pop clip in.. do it on your top wiper (passenger side) and get it about an inch above the other. If this doesn't help try applying some "Rain-X" to windshield which will reduce blade drag. I hope this helps..and welcome to the forum.
