Default how do i remove the oil cooler adapter

i tried searching and i read about it having two torx bolts. i must be blind and stupid because i cant find any bolts.

i do see a nut under the threads that the oil filter screws onto. if this is the only bolt that is in my way, does anyone know what size it is? its huge and i dont have sockets that big.

Yes, that nut is the only thing holding the oil cooler on there. I think it's 1 and 1/16" but I'm not sure. You will need a gasket from an oil filter if you remove it.

Do not overtighten that bolt when you reinstall oil cooler. I dont know what the torque spec is ,but I can tell you if you over tighten it , 100 miles from home you will blow 5 qts of oil on the road in 5 seconds. The aluminum oil filter adapter under it will crack causing the system to over pressurize and do what I describe. I use an adjustable wrench and go snug plus a little bit. Like a valve cover bolt. Less is more in this case.I also use an old (or new) oil filter rubber gasket to seal it. The o ring from chevy is expensive, never in stock and seems to leak on my car.
