Code 41???? Fixes????
I keep getting a code 41, cylinder selection error, is this pretty common? The only info I've found points to the PROM or ECM, does that sound right? The car is running like really poopy at idle and in the midrange, but it's OK up in the RPMs. I also had a CTS go south this weekend, but luckily had a replacement with me, didn't help out with the other problem. Also replaced the alternator & O2 in the past couple of weeks if that's any help.

FWIW-
'Cylinder Select' is an ECM error. Most likely causes: Either the chip is incorrectly installed, or the Memcal bent a pin(?) in its socket.
If the chip was burned by a beginner, it might also be simply an error in the software edit.
Could also indicate something physically failed in the chip or the ECM. HTH
