Default Lowering kit vs. Weight transfer

Anyone have any input on what a lowering kit would do to affect launches at the strip?
One hand I think that its lower, so that better. On the other hand, it cant squat as much so there is less load generated.
Whatcha got guys?

i was wondering about this as well. would it help weight transfer if you just lowered the back half of the car? how does that all work?

A car that has it's ride height adjusted properly should not loose any suspension travel. Actually, in a drag race application, a lower car will tend to perform better at the drag strip. Remember, you are not necessarily looking just for the squat, but for weight transfer (pitch rotation) so you want the front to come up as well and stay up long enough to keep weight on the rear tires to keep them from spinning, then for the front to settle down slowly not to un-load the rear tires. This concept is cemented in the use of 50/50 shocks in the rear and 90/10 or 80/20s in front as a base line.

I lowered my car in the rear and it spun like crazy. I had to jack it back up.

But thats my car.
