LoL, I know the shifter bezel looks like GARBAGE, but here's my switch setup. The white dot indicates which side is ON.

I have mine on a three position toggle switch, mounted in the hush panel above my left knee. It doesn't show. I have a few other "devices" mounted next to it. My three positions are, automatic, postive off, and positive on.

RACE ON!!!

Out driving around today I think I've changed my mind and will mount it on the "shelf" right below the driver side vent/speedometer. Do you use a DPDT switch to put the red to the black/red stripe and the blue to the green/white stripe or a DPST switch putting the red, blue to the black/red stripe,green/white stripe?

Neither. I used a SPST, putting on side to the "jumper" wire on the main fan relay, and the other side to a good ground. Easy as pie.
I got my switch from Lowe's, but you can prolly get it at Home Depot aswell.
Korvette4U,
I like what you've done, but I also REALLY like having two cupholders

Timspeed, any possibility of a picture of the wire placement on the fan relay? I'm a little nervous about determining which is the right connection. Thanks for any help possible.

I installed a SPST switch on the carpeted area just above my left knee. I also installed a red LED next to the switch which is on whenever the fans are on. That way I can monitor the computer's action as well as my own.

when you install one of those things, does the fan still work like normal when it's off? or will the fan not come on at all when the switch is off? i'd like one but want it to function properly when i dont need it on constantly.

If done properly it's just like stock when manual switch is off and ECM and temp switch and AC high pressure switch still operate fans as needed.
Its just for situations when you want to cool it down a bit earlier than they do and also so you have a back up means of activating fans if these other systems were ever to fail.

Exactly as SkateParkDave said, everything is stock.
First, I got the Low Temp. Aux. Fan Switch, which turned my Aux. fan on at 190º and off at 170º.
Then, I took the next step, and followed Jim's (65Z01) tech tip, and ran a jumper wire between the Aux. Fan switch and the Green wire on the Main Fan Relay. This, in turned, turned BOTH fans on at 190º, and off at 170º
While, the current setup is OPTIMAL for daily driving. When I'm at the TRACK, I want my cooling fans to run on DEMAND, so I can launch the car at ~160º.
So, the only thing I did, was run another jumper wire from the Aux Fan Switch, to one side of the switch. Then a good ground, to the other side of the switch. So, when the switch is "OFF" everything functions as normal. When it's "ON", It's basically like having a LOW temp fan switch, where the on temp is whatever I want.

Mad-Mic,
TIMSPEED has the 87 like yours. I have the 90 and the fan relays are a bit different. So, I'll give you a thread bump and maybe he'll notice.

The word doc I wrote on this is at my office and I'm off today but if you still want it email me and I send it to you tomorrow.

Dave
