Windshield post leak..
Thanks
My windshield was replaced about 2 years ago, but it hasn't seen a lot of rain up until recently. The water would get in between the windshield and the windshield molding. There is a little plastic lining between the metal molding and the windshield, but mine was ripped apart.
I removed both moldings (if you took apart you know what I'm talking about) and I put Urethane on the side of the windshield, then put the first molding, then put urethane on top of that one and put the other molding on tops of if and screwed them back in place. I replaced my rubber stripping, closed the door, and voila! its never leaked since. I've tested with the garden hose, and its been raining for almost 2 weeks every day and it hasn't leaked.
Urethane is the black gue they use to stick the windshield back on the car when they replace it.
If I ever have to remove my molding I'll have to order new ones since they won't come off easily and I'll probably end up breaking them.
Good luck!
Ps: I think you can only order uratane from a car parts store, I don't think you'll find it in any home hardware store. You could also try ordering new plastic moldings to put under the moldings and hopefully this will fix it, but I didn't want to take any chances so I went with the 100% proof way of doing it.
