Default Question on adding gears

Looking at a 94. I know in 95 they went ODBII, and on certain GM models, the 94 was a hybird between the ODBI and ODBII. When I add the gears to this car, will I need to get a VSS gear for the ZF6 or can I just reprogram the computer? Thanks.

Sorry, Your off by a year. 96 has the OBDII (the only C4 with OBDII), but 95 has the OBDII connector but still uses OBDI.

I think that you can just reprogram the computer and be done with it. Someone else should chime in shortly that knows for sure.

Cool, yeah I just found a place that sells ECM cables. Seems 94 and 95 have ODBII connectors with ODBI computers. From searching, I see that you can tune the 94 computer with TunerCat. Has anyone changed the gear ratio using the application for a 94/95?

Default Tunercat

I've used Tunercat to tune my car, and recalibrate the speedometer. Speedo raclibration is a piece of cake with Tunercat.
