AC control problem

AC control problem
My ac control is no longer working. It is stuck in the defrost mode, fan on high, and temp change will not respond as well. The only thing I can control is the heated mirrors on and off.
I rinsed the cowl panel vents off on saturday, (panel where the wipers are ) and afterwards the panel would not change. I dont believe this had anything to do with it but I wanted to mention it anyways.
Are the panels repairable or do they have to be replaced?

The contacts on the circuit boad may have become corroded. There are two tech tips on how to repair:

Hey, Steel Blue. Thanks for the links. I believe I will pull it and look. Right now, it wont go into the diagonistic mode or anything. The only control that I have is turning the defrost mirrors on and off. Again thanks.

Sounds like dirty contacts or a broken solder joint in the control box.
Simple to just take it out and spray the contacts with contact cleaner you can get at Radio Shack.
Do a visual on the solder joints and touch up anything iffy looking.
