Rim sizing question

One of the things I wanted was the wide stance that comes with rims that are actually a little too wide for the car, so that is fine. Everyone seems to think the 16's will NOT clear the caliper with the 13" front rotors so I went out and looked and it would be close but I think they will fit. I am sure some space is good to avoid heat build up but I not doing and racing in mine so do you think that would be an issue? I hate to ask this but are you POSITIVE they will fit? Have you actually tried bolting a set of 16's onto an '89 or newer? Thanks a bunch

With the stock rims the story was that only the factory 16' rims made by Enkei will clear the J55 rotors , not sure about aftermarket.If it is a close fit could do some surgery on the caliper fins.
