Flames

Just outta curiosity has anyone ever done any kind of a exhaust flame fix up on their car. I know used to (70's) people put spark plugs in their tail pipes, but I've heard doing this now can ruin a cat converter. Anyone ever tried this? any results?

In order for that to work your exhaust has to be pig rich, hence the reason it will kill your cat.

There would need to be almost raw gas coming out of the tail pipes, so your cats would be toast. Not to mention fire in close proximity to a "plastic" car. I seen no good coming from this stunt.

Look to the street rod crowd. There is a product you can purchase that has the control board, switches, and hardware. I dont know the cost or even the name but I think street rod suppliers have them.
