Anyone use Royal Purple??
I saw the episode on HP T.V., and they got an extra 8RWHP from going to Royal Purple.
Anyone use it?
And if so what products to get for motor, read end, tranny(4+3)?

Royal Purple
I probably won't be of much help, but I purchased a 94 LT1 over a year ago and the owner told me they have used RP since new. I have changed oil twice and each time used the 5w-30 from Royal Purple. It's about time for a tranny flush and I'll be checking real quick to see what product they make for that.

I dont know if its any better than Mobil 1, there havent been conclusive tests in my opinion.
Ive seen the episode of HP TV, there are several things you dont know about the predicament of that Z28 before they changed everything, so I'd like to see some real conclusive tests.
It is fine for you to use it though.

8 RWHP compared to what? Maybe it is possible if they are comparing the Purple to conventional oil but no way are you getting 8 RWHP more compared to other synthetics like Mobil 1. The air foil was tested too for getting 14 hp more but other tests show no increase.
