what's up buddy you did a chip for me a few months ago i had a problem with false knock retard i was getting 2-5 degrees of retard around 3000rpms. this is the first time i took the car out since buying ther chip. something weird is happening. today i went for a ride and nailed second gear and i noticed almost 16 degrees of retard never had that. now heres the weird part, even with that much retard the car kept pulling it never felt like power was backing off. oh i checked this with the ezlink.????????????????????????

6spd, whatever the problem is, I know Jesse will make it right. He's working with me right now and is a stand up guy. Give him a chance, he will respond and he won't quit until you're happy. I know he's busy helping a friend out on a big project, this would explain why he might not be able to get back to you right away. Like I said, he's very honest and will make things right. Good luck!

6spd.

Sent you an IM this morning, been out in the garage all day working on the newest member of the family

I am not sure exactly what is happening. If you truely were getting the knock retard your scanner is saying. Then the car would be feeling like a turtle. 4* would be a ton for it to pull.

Also all my chips are VERY minimal timing. I would be surprised if its over 34* total. I need your real name to pull the information together here. These usernames and real names confuse the heck out of me. After awhile they all start blending together. lol.

We'll figure it out.

If the knock happen "right" at the occurance of the shift, its very common due to torque converters, and trannies to setoff false knock. My stock tranny used to all the time. When I stuck the Vigilante converter in it, it went away. Guess that is one reason why you spend 700+ dollars for a good converter. I could see it tripping the knock sensor at that instant, and cause I set of the knock attack recovery pretty high, so the timing is quickly recovered, should there be any, you probably would not see any loss in performance. Which is what I think you are saying happened.

Shoot me an IM describing in detail what you saw.
