Default Tips for removing crank pully, balancer...

I did a search and wasn't able to find much info, I remember reading a step by step but that may be lost in the old forum.

Anyone have any tips for removing the crank pully / hub assembly? I need to swap my Vette's pulley to put on supercharger drive one and want to ask questions before I strip down the Vette.

Thanks for any pointers.

On my L98, I had the C-beam and drive line out and tilted the engine back a tad. This so, I could get the socket/extension thru the hump of the power steering fluid line.
Don't know about LT motors tho.
TTT for you.

Default Oh No, Hope you dont have a LT1

Not sure how tight your fit is, but on my 94LT1, it was a bear to get that pulley out. I was able to get the bolts out, but the pulley seemed stuck to the crank. I used some penetrating oil and let it soak in for a day then tried to tap it free...no luck. In the end, I had to weld up a special pully puller since the once from the store were too deep. I finally did get it out, and have no idea why it stuck so well.....it was only very lightly rusty.

Good Luck
